Where PassionMeets Perfection

Every frame is a season of patience: clear nights, cold optics, and hours of light gathered one exposure at a time.

Each project pairs one photograph with two stories — the light's past and its future.

WHAT AN ECHO CONTAINS

  • Museum-grade deep-space plate, print/screen-ready.Archival pigment on cotton rag, colour-managed for both screen and paper.
  • Past/Future by two authors, split by light-years.The object's distance sets how far apart the two stories sit in time.
  • HD audiobook, languages, paired Past/Future modes. Each tale narrated, with the pair listenable in either order.
  • Object dossier: distance, coordinates, filters, IDs.Everything needed to find the object again and verify the frame.
  • Provenance: exposure maps, guiding logs, studio notes.Provenance pack: exposure maps, guiding/error plots, calibration data, environment notes; signed & timestamped.
  • Limited, hand-signed, reversible book access.A reversible Past/Future volume, numbered and signed by hand.

TWIN ECHOES SHAPED BY LIGHT

Echoes from the Lost Light fuses deep-space imaging with literature. Each object becomes an Echo: two companion tales born from the same light. The object's light-years set the span between them, one placed in the Past, the other in the Future by the same distance. I set the arc and shared motifs and keep the light-line true. Two authors write in duet, never crossing timelines. Research, translation, and edit weave the overlaps so every Echo reads like one design.

WHEN THE TARGET RISES ABOVE 60° IN THE CLEAREST SKIES, THE WORK BEGINS. MINUTE-LONG, GUIDED EXPOSURES TRACK IT WITH EXTREME PRECISION.

Light is gathered over months, not nights: more than 100 hours per object, with 33+ hours per colour channel to build the final frame. Calibrated frames and capture notes (exposure maps, guiding logs, environmental records) preserve exactly how the light arrived. In parallel, the ledger records each object's distance in light-years, anchoring the Past/Future echoes the stories will inherit.

  • Prime transparency & seeingOnly nights where the atmosphere is still and clear.
  • ≥60° altitudeHigh in the sky means less air to look through.
  • 100+ hr totalSignal accumulates over months, not a single night.
  • 33+ hr per channelEach colour channel gathered to the same depth.
  • Full provenanceEvery frame traceable to when and how it was taken.
  • Guided precisionThe mount tracks the target to sub-pixel accuracy.
  • Cooled sensorA cold sensor produces far less thermal noise.
  • Moonless windowMoonlight raises the sky background and buries faint detail.
  • Bortle 1–3 skyAmong the darkest skies still reachable.
  • 2.5 nm narrowbandIsolates a single emission line and rejects the rest.
  • Apo-corrected opticsColour brought to a common focus across the frame.
  • Precision guidingContinuous correction against drift and flexure.
  • Dither between subsBreaks pattern noise; improves stacking.
  • Calibrated framesDarks, flats and bias remove the instrument's own signature.
  • Seeing ≤ 2"Atmospheric blur held under two arcseconds.
  • PEC-tuned mountPeriodic error trained out of the drive.

IN EFTLL EVERY ECHO IS WRITTEN IN DUET: TWO AUTHORS, ONE PAST, ONE FUTURE.

No single hand crosses both timelines. I set the arc and shared motifs, research the history, and keep the light-line true. Their distinct voices meet in the overlaps, giving each novel its own weather and gravity, a layered craft where scholarship, storytelling, translation, and edit resolve as fine art.

    Founder

“I gather the unseen and let it rest until light becomes language. The rest is passion running with obsession.”
  • Placeholder — Mara Aoki

    Writer

“I map the narrative field and let it settle until distance becomes design. Then I tune the orbit so meaning holds its course.”
  • Placeholder — Sofía Navarro

    Writer (historic)

“I sift the record and let it clarify until fact becomes meaning. The past answers softly; I make sure it is heard.”
  • Placeholder — Leon Idris

    Translator

“I listen for the unsaid and give it room until voice becomes story. What remains is the seam you never see, only feel.”
  • Placeholder — Elke Hartmann

    Proofreader

“I pare each line and let it rest until language becomes clarity. Precision is kindness; I remove what does not serve.”
  • Placeholder — Wen Li

    Translation lead

“I carry sense across and let it settle until words become home. Between tongues, I keep the meaning intact.”

The work resolves as museum-grade objects: archival pigment prints and a reversible Past/Future book, hand-signed with certificate and capture notes. Limited editions – waitlists open prior to release.
